Meet the Team

Team

Michael J. Lamerato, MS, LPC

I was born and raised in Michigan and have had the pleasure and honor to serve men for the last ten years working as a therapist. I came upon the need to help men in therapy through some of my own retreat work around eight years ago and have worked hard ever since training in advanced therapy and figuring out the best ways to help men as we often have different needs in therapy. I have also been thrilled to offer ways to get out of the therapy room by offering on-going men’s groups and nature-based retreats several times a year. Over this next year, I plan to expand my practice by hiring some additional therapists to help serve more men and to start offering adventure therapy and teen summer retreats. Our mantra around here is to: End the suffering in men, to end the suffering caused by men.

In my free time, you can find me Up-North camping and hiking, as well as fly-fishing here in Michigan as well as on the rivers and mountain streams out West. I enjoy staying active in my CrossFit community, hosting friends for dinner, spending time with my family, and finding some quiet pockets of time to read, enjoy a cigar, and plan my next adventure. You might also get the chance to meet Luna, my 3-year old Goldendoodle who is in therapy dog training.

Feel free to explore my page and if it resonates with you, I would be happy to offer a free consultation to see if it would be a good fit. Simply click the link and fill out a quick consult form.
